Tenants of the Versailles Apartments who have made rental payments for their respective units under their respective lease agreements, from February 15, 2013 through October 29, 2019 and who have not signed written waivers entitled “Renovation Construction Lease Addendum” addressing ongoing construction at the Versailles Apartments.

Subclass: Tenants of the Versailles Apartments who have made rental payments for their respective units under their respective lease agreements and occupied their units at the Versailles Apartments from November 1, 2016 through February 1, 2018 and who have not signed written waivers entitled “Renovation Construction Lease Addendum” addressing ongoing construction at the Versailles Apartments.

INTRODUCTION

The settlement resolves a class action lawsuit filed on behalf of tenants and former tenants of the Versailles Apartments on 8811 Burton Way in West Hollywood California (“Versailles Apartments”) alleging:That its owners and managers, MLT, LLC, MAY LING YU, and THOMAS YU, (“DEFENDANTS”), failed to provide and/or interfered with the use of amenities bargained for in lease agreements for units at the Versailles Apartments between February 15, 2013 to the present; October 29, 2019 and,That, from November 1, 2016 and February 1, 2018, a massive building renovation project further interfered with the use of amenities at the Versailles Apartments.

YOUR RIGHTS AND OPTIONS REGARDING THE SETTLEMENT


DO NOTHING AND YOU WILL REMAIN A MEMBER OF THE CLASS
If you do nothing, you will remain a member of the settlement class and will receive settlement monies once they are approved by the Court, along with further information, which, in some instances, allow you to receive additional enhancement payments.If you do nothing and stay in the Class, in addition to and in exchange for the settlement payments you will release your right to sue DEFENDANTS for their actions related to the class allegations.

OBJECT TO THE TERMS OF THE SETTLEMENT
File an objection if you believe the settlement is unfair or inadequate.

Objections must be submitted by email:

EXCLUDE YOURSELF FROM THE SETTLEMENT
Opt-out of the settlement. If you opt out, you receive no benefits from the settlement but retain your right to sue DEFENDANTS and others over the allegations stated above.
Opt-outs must be submitted online or postmarked within 45 days of the transmission/mailing of this notice. June 7, 2021.
